At the time of my second pregnancy and the demands of a more careful wardrobe for my television presenter profession, I felt the need to look for tailored, comfortable and stylish clothing. I found nothing with these features. So I decided to create my own pieces and so was born this brand of clothes for pregnant women.
”The name came to me in two seconds. I started by thinking of a name that combines the most elementary process of a pregnancy. Me and my baby. My baby and me. BBme!
I started by making simple sketches of a capsule collection of maternity t-shirts that sold out really fast. Articles from magazines, newspapers, websites, and television shows my project and suddenly I was selling all over the country, Macao, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, etc., in such rapid success that I found myself taking on two new professions – fashion designer – with imagination and current professional learning – and the entrepreneur.
But BBme by Joana Teles continued to grow and I felt the need to respond to the requests and challenges launched, starting to create baby clothes as well, children, parents and entire families. And more than ever this is a brand for everyone!
BBme by Joana Teles was born in 2015, the result of the need, but above all the desire to make a differentiating brand happen. In its design (always original), in its quality (100% made in Portugal) and in its philosophy.
I believe that a full pregnancy is lived with love for ourselves. Generating a child is a fabulous experience, but often capable of bringing us back to the background, which cannot happen at all. For me, pregnancy is the pinnacle of beauty and femininity. Pregnant women are so, so beautiful! Looking in the mirror and enjoying what you see is halfway to a happy pregnancy. Having clothes that fit, embellish them, make them comfortable and beautiful is my mission and pride.
